WE ARE COMPLACENT
WE ARE COMPLACENT
Webster’s com·pla·cent | \ kəm-ˈplā-sᵊnt \
Definition of complacent
1: marked
by self-satisfaction especially when accompanied by unawareness
of actual dangers or deficiencies
The key words are:
1.
SELF We
have become a “live for self” society. God gave us free will and we use it to
please ourselves.
2.
UNAWARNESS
Children these days are unaware that Jesus’ sacrifice was to wipe away
our sins. Have you read the Bible? It
contains truth, history, and God’s loving will for every one of us.
3.
DANGERS The
danger is that our children will grow up ignorant of God’s power and gifts of
love to them, especially salvation from the grace of God.
Children’s books are complacent about Jesus. They tell children to be kind, curious,
and obedient; but they do not tell the real reasons…kindness because
Jesus was perfect and we are to emulate Him...curious because children’s
curiosity should be guided to the Bible…obedience to our Father in
Heaven, our Creator, our Lord Jesus who died for every person on earth so we
might find a way to live eternally.
Children’s books need to be factual in their fantasy. The stories can be made up, but the
principles are of God’s making.
Babies and the innocents will be taken to heaven at this
world’s end by God. The larger portion
of those children grow up before the Lord’s coming, and will be responsible for
their own lives as well as others.
It is our duty as parents to help our children and
grandchildren to understand why they need to accept Jesus as their Lord
and Savior. It’s about time children
were taught Jesus’ principles from birth, so their lives will be guided by Him
and they can seek Him (and be confident He is there) when they are having
difficulties in life.
The Holy Spirit guides my writing. I will include Jesus, God, and the Holy
Spirit in my writings for children, teens, and adults. I hope you understand my
purpose in writing this way.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only
Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16 NIV
John 14:6 says “Jesus answered, ‘I
am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except
through me.’” NIV
Believe Jesus died to wipe away our sins, for the only way
to heaven is through Him. Make sure your children know these facts!
Have a great day!
Miss Marsha
